The Sharpest Eyes on the Sky:
A 2020 Vision for High Angular Resolution Astronomy
University of Exeter, UK
April 20-24, 2020
After careful consideration of the safety of the delegates and the local community, the LOC and SOC have decided to cancel the conference, which was originally scheduled to take place in April 2020, and to reschedule the meeting for a later date in 2022.
We apologize for any inconvenience that results from this decision.
Please note that all registration fee payments will be refunded in full in due course.
Together with partners from CHARA/GSU, ESO, and EII, the LOC at the University of Exeter will look into finding the best date for rescheduling the meeting in spring/summer 2021.
The 2020 meeting will be held in the tradition of the annual CHARA Meetings and the VLTI Community Days, and aims to bring both communities and workshops together. The focus will be on discussing the latest science results obtained with interferometry and other high-angular resolution imaging techniques (ALMA, SPHERE, GPI, etc). There will be presentations on operational aspects and ongoing & future instrumentation development activities at CHARA and VLTI as well as opportunities to discuss synergies between both facilities.
Please visit the website for The Sharpest Eyes on the Sky: A 2020 vision for high angular resolution astronomy for more information, to register for the meeting, and to submit an abstract. The deadline for submitting an abstract for a talk or poster is March 6, 2020.
Many thanks to our local hosts Stefan Kraus and Claire Davies.
