Milliarcsecond Astronomy with the CHARA Array
We will hold a CHARA Community Reception on the evening of Monday, July 30, 2018 during the Cambridge Workshop on Cool Stars, Stellar Systems and the Sun. Appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available.
During the reception we will provide an overview of stellar astrophysics at high angular resolution and discuss the science capabilities of the CHARA Array. We encourage you to bring ideas for developing science programs at the CHARA Array. The reception is part of our new initiative to offer 50 nights per year of open access time through the NOAO time allocation process.
Topics that will be covered during the reception include:
- Stellar astrophysics at high angular resolution
- Overview of the CHARA Array
- How to apply for time at CHARA
